“ We were here for about 20 seconds when the sun was setting over the water . I looked at my wife and we said , ‘ This is it ,’” recalls Keith . The couple moved from Tiburon , California where they had their own real estate business for 23 years , built a new Aruba single-family home at Latitude Margaritaville Watersound and moved in last October . They loved the community so much that they rented a house there while waiting for their new home to be built .
“ We submerged ourselves in Latitude Margaritaville ,” says Candace . “ We met our friends and it was a great transition . I never thought I would like living in a 55 plus community , then we stumbled upon Latitude Margaritaville and I thought , ‘ This I can do !’ Now , I don ’ t even look back ,” says Candace . “ When we moved here , we retired . Now , we ’ re just having fun . It has been the perfect transition from working a career and still having life left in you to enjoy the things you ’ ve always dreamed about . People here are very positive and young at heart . We love it !”
“ This is a very young 55 plus community ,” adds Keith . “ It ’ s a great culture here and a really laid back
atmosphere . We met more friends here in the first six months than we did in the 20 years we lived in our California neighborhood .”
When it comes to the Latitude Town Square amenities , Candace notes that between them , she and Keith do it all . It ’ s pickleball every Friday night with their neighbors , cornhole on the lawn , swimming at the Paradise Pool , water aerobics , spin class and yoga at the Fins Up ! Fitness Center , dining at the Bar & Chill and dancing to live music at the bandshell .
The Nordstroms most definitely are BIG music fans . “ Keith and I are big time classic rock types ,” says Candace . “ For the last 10 years , we have gone to four or five concerts a year and have spent lots of time enjoying music around the U . S . “ We love going down to the bandshell ,” says Keith . “ But it ’ s not just the music . It ’ s the whole culture here at Latitude Margaritaville . You have to love where you live and people love living here . It ’ s the lifestyle . It ’ s fabulous . We feel like we ’ re on vacation every day .
