While waiting for their third new home at Latitude Margaritaville to be built , they plan to enjoy life at Latitude Margaritaville Watersound and living in their St . Bart ’ s . What do Nick and Doreen enjoy most about living at Latitude Margaritaville ? They enjoy walking their chocolate labs , Java and Guinness , and taking them to play at Barkaritaville Dog Park . They attend concerts at the Town Square Band Shell , play pickleball , take classes at the Fins Up ! Fitness Center , hang out at the Paradise Pool , and particularly like grabbing a bite to eat at the Bar & Chill or sipping a cocktail while watching the spectacular sunsets over the Intracoastal . And , of course , the people . “ Everyone is here to enjoy themselves . Every neighbor we meet is friendly . Everybody has a story and they have moved from different places . It ’ s so easy to talk to people . We love that ,” says Nick .
“ We live in a resort ,” notes Doreen . Nick agrees . “ It ’ s like living on vacation all the time . We have to pinch ourselves and remember that we don ’ t have to go home on Monday ,” he laughs . Good point . In fact , at the moment , all the Desports have to do is decide which of their three residences at Latitude Margaritaville they are going home to next .
“ There ’ s also a large veterans ’ group here that gets together for events ,” says Nick . “ They do things like enjoying breweries , exploring downtown Panama City and night time kayaking that bring us together and create real camaraderie . There are a number of veterans in the community and our veterans ’ events here are amazing .”
