Billy recalls going to Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach to see how the neighbors interacted and what the community looked like . “ We were digging it ,” declares Billy . “ Once we started really understanding what Latitude Margaritaville is , we thought ‘ Why wait ?’ and decided to be part of the lifestyle before I retire . And we made that decision two years before it even opened .”
To get to know her Latitude Margaritaville Watersound neighbors to be , Gail started a “ Margaritaville Mingles ” group that gathered at various places around the Panama City Beach area .
Her first Mingle was June 19 , 2021 , with 20 attendees . The final Mingle before moving to their new home drew a crowd of nearly 200 .
“ While we were still in Atlanta , someone posted a page on Facebook asking who was moving to Latitude Margaritaville Watersound from where ,” says Gail . Through this post , the Gordons made contact with Atlanta couples who were making the move to the new community and started gathering with them . “ We were networking with neighbors from Atlanta and across the country . I knew all of our neighbors before we moved in !” she exclaims .
