In 1995, Buffett created Singing for Change, a non-profit organization that supports inclusive, grassroots organizations, large and small that inspire personal growth, community integration and the enhanced awareness that, collectively, people can bring about positive change. Jimmy Buffett Day of Service carries on his legacy and celebrates the way he lived his life in support of others and community.

“ Giving back comes naturally to our residents,” says Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle Director Ramona Ward.“ The Jimmy Buffett Day of Service is another opportunity for us to lend a hand for a good cause.

Each small act is in recognition of Jimmy Buffett whose life was not only about music but also about charity, love and compassion. We want to spread the love and the spirit that brought us all together.”

While Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head service projects were rained out, Latitude Margaritaville Watersound service projects included unpacking the monthly food order at the warehouse of Backpack Blessings, a group that collects, packs and delivers weekend meals for students in Panama City Beach schools. Residents also helped with painting and sprucing up at a Habitat for Humanity of Bay County home build site and rallied round for a beach cleanup at Russell Fields City Beach.
