In 1995, Jimmy Buffett created Singing for Change, a non-profit organization that supports inclusive, grassroots organizations, large and small that inspire personal growth, community integration and the enhanced awareness that, collectively, people can bring about positive change. Jimmy Buffett Day of Service carries on his legacy and celebrates the way he lived his life in support of others and community.
Margaritaville restaurants, resorts, hotels, communities, and cruises worldwide host volunteer opportunities, charitable activations, and fundraising initiatives that encourage everyone to“ Keep the Party Going” while supporting organizations that make a difference in communities around the world.
Latitude Margaritaville residents enthusiastically join forces each year to participate in this event by selecting local non-profit organizations that need helping hands for projects or other support. With sleeves rolled up, residents gathered to pitch in where needed. This year’ s projects ranged from animal rescue organizations to Habitat for Humanity to beach clean ups … with some Latitude Margaritaville-style partying to cap off the day.
Giving back comes naturally to Latitude Margaritaville residents who participate in volunteerism and events to support their community throughout the year. For Jimmy Buffett Day of Service 2026, Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head residents rallied around Lovable Paws Rescue and Sanctuary; Outside Foundation beach cleanup; Raskel’ s Rescue, and a food drive for Bluffton Self Help to support their food pantry for those in need. Latitude Margaritaville Watersound residents stepped forward to help Alaqua Animal Rescue; Family Services Agency of Bay County; Habitat for Humanity of Bay County and Dog Beach at Pier Park beach cleanup.
And, of course, Latitude Margaritaville residents continued the celebration of goodwill and kept the party going with a Jimmy Buffett Keep the Party Going Tribute Concert … beach balls provided. The Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head Singers also presented a“ Singing for a Change” tribute to Jimmy Buffett at the community’ s Last Mango Theater to raise donations to support Singing for Change.
Fins Up for Jimmy Buffett Day of Service!
