The McDonald ' s get a Washington Post welcome to their new community
When Steve and Sharon McDonald decided to become residents of Latitude Margaritaville Watersound , they were in for a special surprise — an invitation to be featured in a Washington Post story on the community . “ People have walked up to us and said they saw us in the newspaper , and a lot of people have connected via Facebook ,” says Steve .
Steve and Sharon made their decision to move to Latitude Margaritaville during a Change in Latitude Getaway at Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head . During their visit , they heard about plans for Latitude Margaritaville Watersound on Florida ’ s Emerald Coast — a place where Sharon has been vacationing since she was a teen .
Then and there , the McDonalds began planning their move to Latitude Margaritaville Watersound where they could combine their love of the community ’ s fun , food and music lifestyle with proximity to their favorite beaches in the world . “ We ’ ve been waiting for the right time for this to happen ,” says Steve . “ We ’ ve been waiting since we saw Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head .”
Steve and Sharon simply couldn ’ t wait any longer … they bought a beach villa and are living there until their home at Latitude Margaritaville Watersound is ready . “ I ’ ve been coming to Panama City Beach since I was 16 years old ,” notes Sharon . “ This is the best beach , and the beach is what we ’ re all about . Now , we watch people on vacation pack up and go back home and know we never have to do that again .”
