Residents of Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach and Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head regularly donate treasure and time to area charitable groups . Not only do they provide financial support , they regularly provide their time and skills as volunteers and mentors for area causes ranging from breast cancer awareness to Special Olympics to helping the homeless .
Latitude Margaritaville communities delivered some very special holiday cheer to local charitable organizations this year . On Wednesday , December 8 , Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach hosted the third annual “ Day of Giving ” at the Last Mango Theater in the community ’ s Latitude Town Center . Each of 16 resident-chosen organizations was presented with a $ 5,000 check from the Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach Community Foundation , totaling $ 80,000 . Recipient organizations and residents celebrated with seasonal treats provided by the Latitude Bar & Chill restaurant .
Recipients of the Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach Day of Giving $ 5,000 checks include : Food Brings Hope , Take Stock in Children , Halifax Humane Society , Canine Companions , Ormond Memorial Art Museum , Volusia Literacy Council , Volusia Turtle Patrol , Inc ., Special Olympics Florida , First Step Shelter , Inc ., Daytona Dog Beach , Inc ., Find Your Fabulosity , Inc ., Hope Reins , Inc ., The Early Learning Coalition of Flagler & Volusia County , Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation , Atlantic Center for the Arts and Pace Center for Girls . Residents also collect bicycles and toys for Toys for Tots each year .
As the Latitude Margaritaville communities grow , so grows the Day of Giving . In its second year of hosting the Day of Giving , Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head presented $ 5,000 checks to Operation Patriots Forward Operating Base , Canine Companions , and Lovable Paws for a total of $ 15,000 . The recently opened Latitude Margaritaville Watersound will host their first Day of giving in 2022 .
