Minto ’ s partnership with the US Open Pickleball Championships ( USOPC ) began in 2016 with the inaugural event in Naples , Florida . Minto was involved in bringing the event to Naples , and became title sponsor . That partnership continues today . In 2017 , Margaritaville joined Minto as the powered by sponsor of the tournament .
Billed as the Minto US Open Pickleball Championships Powered by Margaritaville , the USOPC is the largest pickleball tournament in the world , attracting approximately 25,000 spectators over the course of eight days . It takes place every spring in Naples , Florida at East Naples Park in the largest permanent pickleball facility in the world with 64 courts .
Nearly 3,000 pickleball players from 49 states and 30 countries included some of the sport ’ s biggest names . The largest prize purse in US Open history was offered at $ 100,000 .

This event continues to grow and elevate the sport . Other events have adopted many of our most popular features but no other tournament offers the complete experience like the USOPC .”
The 2022 USOPC took place April 23-April 30 and was broadcast live on CBS Sports Network .
