Meet the Russells who traveled all over the country to find their perfect home . All roads led to Latitude

Margaritaville !

Hailing from Delaware , Jenn and Keith Russell raised five children while pursuing demanding 30- year careers . Jenn was a school principal , and Keith , a scientist , worked for a pharmaceutical company .

“ When we retired , we did something really crazy ,” says Keith . “ We sold our house , bought a huge 45- foot RV , and toured the country with our dog Xena ( aka the Warrior Princess ) to see where we wanted to live . Xena is a great traveler . She ’ s been more places than most people !”

The Russells spent 18 months on the road and toured 43 states during their search for home sweet home before discovering Latitude Margaritaville . On their way from Palm Coast to Florida ’ s East Coast , they spotted a billboard on I-95 advertising Latitude Margaritaville .

Jenn wondered aloud if Jimmy Buffett lived at Latitude Margaritaville but knew that , either way , it had to be a fun place .

The couple googled Latitude Margaritaville , and decided that the community ’ s lifestyle motto of being for those who are “ growing older but not up ” most definitely applied to them .

“ I think anybody would be happy here ,” says Jenn . “ We have so many friends . We have friends we go to the beach with , friends we have drinks with and a supper club group .” Keith also enjoys playing lead guitar with his buddies in the Coral Reef Corner Band . “ I ’ ve never had so many friends in my life ,” he adds .

The Russells enjoy the Fins Up ! Fitness Center , pickleball , and walking four to five miles daily . Jenn laughs that this is a good thing because of the great food and wide range of cocktail concoctions to enjoy at the Latitude Bar & Chill Restaurant .

“ I would say that this is probably the best decision we have made apart from having our children ,” says Jenn . “ This is a nice chapter in our lives . Everybody ’ s having their best life at Latitude Margaritaville !” *
