Debbie Walker and her sister did a Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach Stay & Play weekend to experience the community . “ I got here and said this is where I need to be ,” she recalls . “ When I left , I said , ‘ I ’ ll be living here next year !’ I closed on my cottage the next year on November 4 . For me , it ’ s absolutely perfect .”
Debbie chose an Aloha cottage . “ The great room makes it look big and the bedrooms are very good sized ,” she says . “ I have a big walk-in closet in the bedroom and my shower is huge . I also have a den and put in a day bed . The kitchen is perfect for me .”
Debbie ’ s house in Reston , Virginia was 2,000 square feet . Her Aloha cottage is 1,482 square
feet . “ That ’ s downsizing but it doesn ’ t feel like it ,” she notes . “ I love my front porch . It faces the street and people come over just to sit and talk a while . It really helps you get to know your neighbors . People who live here are very kind . Everybody wants to help you . I absolutely love it !”
She likes the live music at the Paradise Pool and relaxing at the Latitude Beach Club . “ It ’ s like living on a cruise ship ,” she says . She also enjoys the live music and dancing at the Latitude Town Square . “ On Halloween night , my Apple watch said I danced five miles ,” she laughs . “ You meet so many people and make friends who turn into family . It ’ s a wonderful thing . I feel so blessed to be here .”
