The program also included a patriotic medley with the Paradise Singers performing“ The Star-Spangled Banner,”“ My America,”“ Our Song of Freedom,”“ This Land Is Your Land,” and other patriotic favorites. In addition, there was a reading of“ Flanders Fields,” a poem by John McCrae, poet, soldier and physician, that evokes deep reflection on those lost in war. Latitude Margaritaville Watersound also hosted a Memorial Day Ceremony that included a Moment of Silence and Remembrance Walk to honor the nation’ s fallen soldiers.
The day also included a Latitude Margaritaville welcome to summer with pool parties, the tropical rhythms of a steel drum band, fun games and a dance party.
